One of them is BUNGUS BEACH, also many small islands around Padang, Pagang, Sikuai, Sirandah, Marak, Parsumpahan Island, etc. Its beach on Bungus bay with its white sandy is good for swimming, canoeing, fishing or just watching the fishing boats going out to sea in the morning. Small boats can be hired from here to make trip to those islands.

BUNGUS BEACH is a natural beach. The wave here is quite friendly. The tide is normal. The beach is famous for white sandy beach with crystal water. The beach’s wave is calm because of surrounded by hill.
BUNGUS BEACH is located in the district of Teluk Kabung, 25 km from Padang. It is one hour drive from down town. Most of the society is fishermen. They are very warm and friendly to visitors, thus many tourists stay here for a couple days to enjoy the beach before making trip to small island like; Pagang Island, Sikuai island for snorkeling or Diving and sunbathing.
